Established in 1976, Prairie Hills Resource Conservation and Development plans and conducts activities that increase the conservation of natural resources, support economic development, and enhances the environment and standard of living for citizens in local communities.
Today, Prairie Hills RC&D continues to serve local communities through a locally-led process where citizens work together to plan how they can actively solve environmental, economic and social issues, explore opportunities and build community pride. We work in eleven counties within Illinois: Brown, Fulton, Hancock, Henderson, Henry, Mason, McDonough, Knox, Schuyler, Mercer, and Warren and in the city of Washington, Illinois.
